St. Pius X/St. Leo School is seeking a passionate, dedicated Art Teacher to join our faith‑filled, diverse learning community for the 2026-27 school year.

The ideal candidate is responsible for providing engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction in visual arts for students in grades 4-8.

The teacher fosters creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression while developing students' understanding of artistic techniques, art history, and appreciation for diverse cultures.

The Art Teacher creates a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to explore their creativity and develop confidence in their artistic abilities.

As a member of a Catholic school community, the teacher supports and models the mission and values of the school.

• Principles and practices of visual arts education.
• Various artistic media, techniques, and processes.
• Classroom management strategies.
• Student assessment practices.
• Curriculum planning and instructional design.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field.
• Valid Nebraska teaching certificate or eligibility for certification.
• Safe‑environment certified.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of visual arts curriculum and instructional best practices.
• Commitment to the mission and values of a Catholic school.
