Utility Line Technician Instructor
The Utility Line department is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Utility Line Technician Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, a commitment to equity, inclusion, and the use of the classroom experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance.
The Utility Line Technician Instructor will teach a full range of utility line program coursework with excellence. The ideal candidate also participates collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.
Minimum qualifications for education and experience:
8 years of full-time related occupational experience OR 4 years full-time related occupational experience PLUS an associate's degree in discipline or related discipline OR 2 years full-time related occupational experience PLUS a bachelor's degree in discipline or related discipline.
Higher education/community college teaching experience preferred.
Expected start date:
Fall Quarter 23, 232-day, 12-month contract
Location:
Applied Technology Center
- May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and may involve travel to other campuses.
- A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
- Hiring process includes passing a background check.
- The position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval.
