Special Education Preschool Paraprofessional; PS

Overview

Applications are being accepted for a 6 hour per day Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional position at Elementary School. Duties include working with students in small groups and individually under the direction of the teacher.

• Assist in providing instructional support to students in small groups and one-on-one under teacher supervision.
• Provide physical assistance as needed, including lifting and assisting with activities.
• Assist in lunchroom responsibilities, toileting, transportation, and recreational activities.

• Requires 6 hours of college credit in Early Childhood Education.
• Must complete an additional 6 hours of college credit in Early Childhood Education within a year of hire date.
• Not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of oneself or others with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position for the duration of the assignment.
• This position is subject to a veterans preference.

Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
