Work Schedule:

Clinical hours vary between 6, 8, 10, and 12‑hour shifts depending on course. Weekdays, daytime hours.

Nebraska Methodist College is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nursing Adjunct Instructor to guide and inspire nursing students through hands‑on clinical experiences. As an adjunct nursing instructor you’ll have the opportunity to impart your clinical expertise, mentor aspiring nurses, and shape the future of healthcare.

• Lead and facilitate engaging clinical experiences for nursing students, guiding them through hands‑on patient care scenarios.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty members to design and deliver innovative and evidence‑based nursing curriculum.
• Cultivate a supportive and interactive learning environment, promoting critical thinking, clinical judgment, and compassionate care.
• Mentor and advise students, providing constructive feedback to enhance their clinical skills and professional development.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices, infusing real‑world insights into the classroom.

• Master of Science in Nursing degree required.
• Applicants who are enrolled in an MSN program will also be considered.

• Command of the subject and use of effective teaching/learning methods.
• In conjunction with Program Director and/or Course Coordinator, facilitate clear formulation of learning objectives/outcomes demonstrated by thorough course planning, and thorough preparation for individual classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical sessions.
• Skill in communicating with students and challenging them to go beyond what is required.
• Effective course implementation through the use of a variety of instructional methods, as appropriate, to foster an environment to stimulate student interest and pursuit of learning.
• Integrity, open‑mindedness and objectivity in presenting material.
• Ability to relate the subject to other areas of knowledge.
• Collaboration with other faculty in the development of curriculum.
• Systematic assessment of student learning.
• Provision of constructive feedback in a timely manner to students to foster professional development.
• Punctuality and reliability in conduct of classes.
• Course revision as needed to increase effectiveness.
• Summarize (list in comments) any additional instructional responsibilities, activities, or accomplishment(s) for the review period.
