More Than "Helping the Teacher" As a teacher assistant, you'll work alongside experienced teachers and leaders while gaining real, hands-on experience with children. And you'll quickly discover something: the little moments matter. Getting down on the floor to build the world's tallest block tower. Reading the same book for what feels like the 100th time. Helping a child who's having a hard day.

Celebrating when someone finally accomplishes something they've been practicing. Making a classroom erupt in laughter. Being the person a child runs to when you walk through the door. Those moments might feel small to you. To a child, they can be enormous.

What You'll Do As a teacher assistant, you'll help create a classroom where children feel safe, known, encouraged, and excited to learn. You'll: work alongside experienced teachers to create fun, engaging classroom experiences. Help lead activities inspired by children's interests and developmental needs. Play, read, talk, create, explore, laugh, and learn alongside children. Offer guidance, encouragement, patience, and plenty of smiles.

Help children develop independence, friendships, creativity, confidence, and kindness. Support classroom routines and help maintain a safe, clean, organized environment. Support your fellow teachers and contribute to a culture of teamwork and mutual respect. Learn from experienced teachers and leaders while developing your own skills. And yes... you'll probably go home with a few funny stories.
