Advisor, Education ​/ Teaching, Academic Advising & Student Services

University of Nebraska Omaha is hiring an Advisor I. The Advisor I provides guidance to UNO students to help them achieve meaningful educational experiences and develop personal and professional goals, while also supporting the department and peer advisors with project responsibilities.

• Manage assigned student caseload, advising from admission through graduation.
• Provide course recommendations and develop academic plans aligned with student goals.
• Evaluate transfer and academic credits to minimize time and cost toward degree completion.
• Monitor student reenrollment and progress, fostering persistence and academic success.
• Support students facing academic difficulties and provide appropriate referrals.
• Orient and onboard newly admitted students, introducing institutional processes and technologies.
• Participate in recruiting activities by advising prospective students and promoting UNO's educational offerings.
• Engage in strategic planning and continuous improvement of advising services.
• Participate in university committees and professional associations, including NACADA.
• Required:
  
  Bachelor's degree;
  Preferred:
  Master's degree;
  Salary $46,200-$48,000 annually.
