Connected Roots Care Center, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Level 3 School-Age Paraprofessional to support children in a school-age program grounded in trauma-informed, relationship-based care. In this role, you'll provide direct support to students during academic and enrichment activities, model regulation and social-emotional skills, and assist with behavior plans in partnership with teachers and clinicians. You'll help maintain a safe, inclusive environment, document observations, communicate with families, and contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven team focused on healing and resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to school-age children during academic, recreational, and social-emotional activities.
  • Implement trauma-informed, relationship-based strategies to support regulation, engagement, and positive behavior.
  • Assist with individualized behavior and learning plans in collaboration with teachers and clinical staff.
  • Monitor safety, supervision, and classroom routines, ensuring a predictable, nurturing environment.
  • Document observations, incidents, and student progress according to agency procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with families and caregivers, supporting consistency across home and program settings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to align goals and interventions for each child.
  • Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and reflective supervision to strengthen trauma-informed practice.
  • Support inclusive practices for children with diverse needs, including those with behavioral or developmental challenges.
  • Help set up, organize, and maintain program spaces, materials, and activities.
