Job DescriptionThe Young Adult Program provides young adult learners, with a verified disability who have met the credit requirements of high school, services in the area of transition and instruction with a focus on social, independent living, vocational, functional academic and personal management skills.
The Young Adult Program Transition Coach will provide support to the young adult learners in the following areas of programming.
Academic Instruction- Approximately 1 hour per day for most students focusing on social, vocational, and functional academic skills, independent living, and personal management skills
- Up to 3 days per week where students participate in a variety of volunteer job site experiences with a transition coach to focus on productivity, accuracy, and soft skills through monitored and supported job tasks
- Occur weekly and focuses on community access and independent living
* The position requires driving a district vehicle to job sites/community events and student transport to the program.
Education, Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Clear a state criminal record check and a child abuse check
- Be a minimum of 18 years old
- Successfully complete a physical examination conducted in accordance with the Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation, Section 391.41
- Successfully pass any examinations administered by the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles
- Successfully pass the School Bus Driver musculoskeletal screening
- CDL not required
- Subject to random, quarterly drug testing
Transition Coach = $19.70+/hour
HoursApproximately 35 - 40 hours per week
Follows the school calendar

The District matches your contribution of7.25 percent by 101 percent.
