Seeking UXO Safety Officer candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector Experience to support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as USACE.
JOB OVERVIEWProvide services and support as a Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) (UXO Safety Officer) in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as Department of Defense (DoD - USACE) | U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESImplement and enforce safety protocols in UXO operations; conduct safety training; monitor compliance.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols across all UXO operations, ensuring compliance with DoD and project-specific safety standards.
- Conduct safety briefings, training sessions, and risk assessments for UXO personnel.
- Monitor on-site activities to identify and mitigate safety hazards related to UXO operations.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and update safety documentation, including risk assessments, safety plans, and incident reports.
Experience in UXO safety management; strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to UXO operations.
- Experience in conducting safety audits, training, and incident investigations.
- Familiarity with DoD safety standards, particularly DDESB TP 18.
7+ years as a UXO safety officer; certifications such as UXO Technician III or IV required.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training in occupational safety or related fields is highly preferred.
Experience:
At least 7 years of experience in UXO operations, with 3 years in a safety role.
Safety protocol enforcement, training delivery, hazard identification.
Strong understanding of safety management principles.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
