Field/Service Technician
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical direction and support to customers on operation and maintenance of company products. Serve as customer contact on technical and service-related problems. Demonstrate uses and advantages of products. Work closely with sales and marketing, QA/QC and research and development to address customer concerns, determine corrective action and customer follow-up. May be responsible for a designated region.
Salary Range: $29.00-$32.00 per hour
ResponsibilitiesInstall, check out, operate, maintain, repair, and upgrade equipment within time requirements established by service management.
Provide preventative maintenance in accordance with published procedures. Keep performance and maintenance records on the equipment.
Provide guidance and training to customer personnel in establishing operation, maintenance, inspection procedures, and techniques.
Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommend corrective action.
Advise and assist in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operations.
Maintain customer good will through effective communication of all services rendered, on‑site arrival time, and service and operator issues; maintain a proper business appearance as defined by service management.
Effectively manage company assets to include company vehicle, computer, trunk stock parts inventory, test equipment and tools.
All employees are responsible for ensuring compliance with company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.
Requirements- Minimum of 1 year working in a similar field‑based repair position
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Computer skills are essential. Must be familiar with Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to obtain credit approval for Corporate Credit card.
- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Strong Problem‑solving skills.
- Able to lift 50 pounds – Must be able to bend, push and so forth.
- Manual Dexterity
- Willingness to work up to and over 8 hours/day. 40 hours/week, weekends, holidays, and after‑hours.
- Occasional overnight travel.
- Must maintain all requirements for access to customer sites, including active and current compliance with all credentialing requirements (may include COVID‑19 and annual influenza vaccinations), in order to perform the essential functions of the role at customer locations.
