Responsibilities- Partner with an experienced Project Manager to lead a civil engineering design team focused on residential and commercial land development projects.
- Oversee the production of design plans and specifications for grading, erosion control, stormwater management, sanitary sewers, water mains, and private roadways.
- Review civil engineering design calculations, drainage reports, and cost estimates.
- Manage team, including team assignments, mentoring, and quality control.
- Aid in team mentoring, day-to-day coaching, and performance management.
- Develop relationships with existing developers and local public agencies and contribute to the creation of proposals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB-accredited program, or one meeting the NCEES Engineering Education Standard.
- Registered Professional Civil Engineer License.
- Ten years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or project management software.
- Experience with general civil design of grading, storm, paving and utilities, hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling, and presentation of results.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fifteen years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- Registered Professional Civil Engineer License in the State of Nebraska.
- Team management experience, including leading, mentoring, and coaching.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Knowledge of the Omaha Regional Design Manual and PERMIX.
- Knowledge of S& mechanisms, Public Improvement Plan layouts, design, processes, procedures, and subdivision developments and site planning.
