We are seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer to serve as our most senior, non-managerial networking resource. This role is 100% technical and focused on the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network, security, and voice systems across local and wide area environments. The Network Engineer will play a critical role in building and enhancing network infrastructure—creating solutions rather than primarily supporting existing ones.

This position is responsible for engineering robust LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, and VoIP solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. The ideal candidate brings deep hands‑on experience with multiple enterprise networking technologies and is comfortable making independent technical decisions, leading complex implementations, and shaping long‑term network architecture. While this role does not have people‑management responsibilities, it serves as a senior technical authority and mentor within the organization.

• Design, implement, and engineer LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, and VoIP solutions to meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
• Create and configure network components including VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall policies, with an emphasis on new builds and architectural improvements
• Lead hands‑on implementation of enterprise networking technologies such as switching, security appliances, wireless infrastructure, and unified communications platforms
• Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and proactively identify and resolve complex issues impacting availability or throughput
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to design secure network architectures, harden systems, and respond to vulnerabilities or security events
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, standards, and build procedure
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement network hardware and software solutions aligned with business and technical needs
• Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning from a network architecture perspective
• Serve as a senior technical resource, providing guidance and knowledge sharing to other IT team members
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to gather requirements and deliver effective network solutions

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience
• Minimum of five years of experience engineering and supporting medium‑to‑large enterprise network environments
• Hands‑on experience with at least two or more of the following technologies is required

  • Citrix
  • Mitel
  • Juniper
  • Palo Alto
  • Aruba (including Clear Pass)
  • Cisco switching
• Proven experience designing and implementing network solutions, including VLAN configuration, firewall creation, and traffic segmentation
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including routing, switching, security, and unified communications
• Experience analyzing network traffic, diagnosing performance issues, and implementing long‑term solutions
• Solid knowledge of network security best practices and collaboration with security teams
• Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and own complex engineering efforts end‑to‑end
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical designs clearly
• Preferred certifications include Network+, CCNP, CCIE, Security+, or similar enterprise networking credentials
