Job Summary of the Mechanical Engineer:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Product Development team. The role involves providing detailed mechanical engineering support to the Product Platforms and Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be results-focused, self-directed, and adaptable to evolving business needs and customer requirements. This hands‑on position will involve collaboration with product development engineers, product management, sales, and manufacturing to complete new product development projects.
Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer:- Conceptualize, design, and test mechanical and electrical products for customized customer applications.
- Implement Engineering Change Orders to modify product designs and develop tailored solutions.
- Lead the development of custom-engineered solutions through designing, modeling, prototyping, and testing.
- Support new product launches and facilitate product line transitions within the Product Development team.
- Conduct mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product compliance before manufacturing.
- Perform stress, durability, and fatigue life analysis of mechanical components and systems.
- Select materials and recommend manufacturing processes for optimal product performance.
- Participate in building, assembling, and testing of designs.
- Validate and verify product designs to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Identify and mitigate project and product risks throughout development processes.
- Support investigations, analyses, and implementation of corrective actions for project improvements.
- Conduct on‑site inspections and assist with commissioning activities as needed.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3-7 years of experience.
- Knowledge of product development processes and risk mitigation, including design and analysis.
- Experience in design analysis, FEA, APQP functional modeling, and 3D modeling software.
- Ability to interpret design requirements, with a focus on mechanical aspects, and knowledge of electrical engineering is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
