Job Description

As a Geologist in Olsson’s Industrial Environmental team, you will support senior geologists and scientists on complex environmental projects in mining, agriculture, and advanced manufacturing. The role focuses on data collection, field sampling, GIS analysis, report preparation, and site assessments while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist with geological data collection, including soil and groundwater sampling and subsurface condition logging.
  • Perform entry‑level geological assessments and support site investigations under guidance of senior staff.
  • Utilize GIS and other technical tools to analyze geological data for environmental assessments.
  • Prepare technical reports, maps, and figures for environmental investigations and remediation projects.
  • Support the development of project documentation and adherence to scope and schedules.
  • Participate in fieldwork, often in challenging terrain and weather, and travel 50‑60% of the time.
