Senior Civil Engineer - Data Center

Olsson provides multidisciplinary design services for some of the largest and most forward‑thinking companies in the world. We design hyperscale data center campuses and colocation data centers throughout the U.S. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex engineering‑driven projects that support critical infrastructure for our clients.

As a Senior Civil Engineer on our Data Center Civil Team, you will be part of the firm’s largest projects. You will serve as a project manager on some projects and lead design engineer on others. Your responsibilities include preparing planning and design documents, processing design calculations, developing and maintaining team and client standards, leading quality assurance/quality control, advising on complex projects, and coordinating with other Olsson teams, professional staff, technical staff, clients, and consultants.

You may travel to job sites for observation and attend client meetings.

• Serve as a project manager on selected projects and lead design engineering on others.
• Prepare planning and design documents, process design calculations, and develop and maintain team and client standards.
• Lead quality assurance/quality control activities and act as an advisor on complex projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams, professional staff, technical staff, clients, and other consultants.

• Strong communication skills.
• Experience contributing effectively in a team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Registered professional engineer.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D.
• Eight or more years of related project experience.
• Passion for working collaboratively, taking ownership of work, providing excellence in client service, and generating innovative solutions to complex problems.

$113,000—$140,000 USD (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
