Civil Construction Manager Description

• Construction QA for 2 years until transitioning into a construction project manager. First 2 years will have extended travel, can go home for a long weekend about once a month.
• Perform field work including groundwater monitoring, landfill gas monitoring, and vapor monitoring.
• Conduct construction quality assurance (CQA) observations and document compliance with design plans and specifications.
• Assist with landfill cap and liner construction quality assurance activities.
• Collect and document environmental samples including soil, water, air, and landfill gas.
• Prepare detailed field notes, logs, and photographic documentation.
• Support report preparation including data tables, summaries, and technical documentation.
• Assist with drilling oversight, well installation, and monitoring activities.
• Participate in emergency spill response efforts as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and contractors.
• Projects may include municipal solid waste landfill, groundwater well monitoring, and chemical/petroleum spill projects.
• Software: use CAD and Microsoft platforms.

Construction, construction testing, site inspection, quality assurance, compliance, construction oversight, construction inspection, environmental regulations, Inspection, civil, Hazwoper, environmental monitoring, environmental testing.

• Willingness to obtain 40 hour HAZWOPER certification and OSHA.
• Experience with environmental monitoring or construction oversight.
• Familiarity with data collection and reporting.
• Basic understanding of environmental regulations and compliance.

Intermediate Level

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Omaha, NE.
