The Manufacturing Engineer III is a problem‑solver, facilitator, change agent, innovator, designer, and project manager. Responsible for performing these functions on issues as they are assigned (or arise) in the designated area.

• Responsible for the successful completion of projects that are broad in nature
• Define the project, set goals, and communicate the project to all affected parties clearly and concisely
• Evaluate needs, analyze options, develop a plan, develop an Appropriation Request (AR), and manage implementation until completion within the allotted time frame
• Assist, guide, and mentor other engineers and support personnel (technicians, maintenance, tool and die, etc.) in complex technical matters as needed
• Develop, install, and maintain optimum processes for safe manufacturing of quality product in a productive manner
• Develop procedures and provide training on new processes, tools, and equipment, including but not limited to defining preventative and predictive maintenance requirements and mechanical evaluation of processes and equipment as needed
• Coordinate successful corrections to production problems using sound manufacturing engineering problem‑solving techniques and practices
• When needed, develop alternate methods or processes to allow emergency continued production; evaluate alternate solutions using sound engineering economy techniques
• Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments
• Maintain the ability to work and interact well with others

• General industrial engineering functions as necessary

• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another related field. Mechanical engineering preferred
• Experience
  :
  Minimum of 4 years of applicable engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Required Skills
  :
  Intermediate Microsoft Office skills; good written and oral communication; excellent organizational skills; ability to develop plans for accomplishing assigned work and set priorities with a proper sense of urgency; ability to make timely decisions; average to above average PC skills
• Preferred Skills
  :
  Knowledge of machine programming systems; knowledge of data systems

• Travel required
