This opportunity is an entry‑level transportation engineering position intended for Spring 2026 graduates, starting in Summer 2026, within the Transportation Practice of KCI Technologies.

• Assist in the development of multiple construction plans for transportation projects under the supervision of a senior project engineer or project manager.
• Perform work involving conventional plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment. Assignments include engineering calculations, interpretation of drawings and specifications, and assistance with proposal preparation.
• Coordinate work of multiple engineering disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work for the project.
• Develop engineering reports, quantities and construction cost estimates.

• General knowledge and/or experience with Micro Station, AutoCAD, Revit.
• Good communication and technical writing skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards.
• EIT certification preferred.

• Education and/or
  
  Skills Required:
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET‑Accredited Program.
  • General knowledge of required design software (Micro Station, AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good communication and technical writing skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.)
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to think critically.

  Experience Preferred:
  • Previous internships or work experience in the Engineering field.
• Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations
  
  Required:
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to maintain required certifications.
• Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:
  • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification.
