a. What are the required skills and minimum years of experience you are looking for? An associate degree in Drafting & Design, Industrial Electronics or Electronic Engineering Technology that includes coursework in drafting principles (CAD)
b. What level of education is required? Desired? Associates Degree in Drafting, Electrical Engineering or Similar
c. What are the top 3 skills needed to succeed in this position? AutoCAD - Experienced understanding of electronics, controls and circuits - Ability to collaborate with production team and leaders / Microsoft Office products.
d. What are the top 5 daily responsibilities? - 1 Utilize computer and AutoCAD program to design and draft out electrical drawings and other assigned projects
2. Collaborate with Customer Order Engineer to meet specification for customers.
3. Collaborate with operations team to make improvements to current drawings, schematics, diagrams. This does require floor time. 4 Interface with customers (rarely), 5. Daily report out of activity and action items

Prepare all necessary electrical drawings for assigned projects including, but not limited to, one-line, panel fronts, three-line, schematic, and wiring diagrams for complex assemblies based upon customer specifications and information provided by customer engineering (COE); perform a wide variety of activities requiring the application of drafting principles, drafting standards, and related technical knowledge.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

2. List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results) which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.

A. Prepare complex layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches and drawings relating to new and modified equipment specifications. Incorporate design direction from customer engineering to ensure correct interpretation of the product order.
B. Assist customer engineering (COE) with the analysis and interpretation of customer inquiries relating to assemblies, during the engineering and manufacturing phases.
C. Develop special layout and sketches for engineering tests to determine the acceptance applications, operating characteristics, or performance of components of assemblies.
D. Prepare necessary information to ensure efficient and timely material procurement, manufacturing testing, and installation of assemblies.
E. Maintain contact with manufacturing and engineering personnel to review and discuss diagrams, modifications, adjustments, and progress of work relating to the design and manufacture of equipment.
F. Contact the Engineering Department Lead Engineer, the Master Electrical Designer, or customer engineering (COE) to verify circuit operation or to suggest methods to correct errors.
G. Assist and train new employees in all aspects of electrical drafting and testing; recommend technical methods or approaches for them in order to increase their overall quality, timeliness, and productivity.
H. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment.
I. Provide input and feedback for continuous improvement of processes and systems.
J. Perform other related duties as required.
