Job Description

Reports To:

** VP, Central Estimating
** Position Summary
** Estimators are responsible for all aspects of bidding a project including labor, time and materials requirements to determine overall cost of projects. This role is responsible for increasing profitability through comprehensive cost estimating.
** Essential Functions
*** Interprets and analyzes contract documents regarding terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements for each project and prepare estimates and bid proposals.
* Estimates majority of the work applicable to the respective region or business line, including, target projects and owners list, and managing bid flow.
* Reads and interprets sophisticated specs and drawings. Uses formulas and makes calculations. Other duties as assigned.
** Education & Experience
*** 5+ years of industrial services experience preferred
* 3+ years of experience reading isometric drawings
* 3+ years of experience estimating industrial services lines of business
* High School Diploma or equivalent
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*** Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
* Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team initiatives
* Knowledge in safety procedure implementation is a plus
* Ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects and competing priorities
* Effective communication and critical thinking skills
* Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
* Critical in managing the business and identifying problems or opportunities
* Demonstrates ability to be flexible and quickly adaptable to changing conditions across all spectrums
* Creative and innovative approaches and solutions on a project-by-project basis
* Effective participation in team environment, with both external and internal teammates
** Work Conditions/Physical Demands
*** Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
* Light work that includes moving objects up to twenty pounds
* No adverse environmental conditions expected
