Field Engineer Intern- Infrastructure

The Field Engineer intern is responsible for providing assistance to more senior staff in coordination, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting, and quality control functions of a project. This task-based role requires working knowledge of core elements of construction projects (field management, estimating, project management).

• Perform a variety of duties including administrative duties, updating schedules and budgets, maintaining cost control, and monitoring labor, material, and equipment activities on the project
• Work with Project Managers and on-site Superintendents to update project schedule and budget to identify potential construction issues
• Attend all project team meetings, and document meeting action items and other project deliverables/decisions
• Monitor project change management process, identify change events, submit change notices, track changes and optional changes in project scope, and present to the Project Manager when required
• Assist with drawings, drawing records, revisions, site instructions, and change orders
• Support Project Manager and Superintendent with creating templates and supporting documents on behalf of the project team regarding roles and responsibilities
• Record change orders and update site drawings
• Monitor payroll functions, cost accruals and reviews on a regular basis
• Maintain QA/QC and Safety records
• Review the Field Surveillance Reports (FSR) and initiate NCRs based on analysis and severity of findings

• In-progress trade certification or technical diploma/degree in engineering or related field experience is required
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Proficient using scheduling and project management software
