Manufacturing Engineer
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful completion of small to medium-sized projects with medium complexity and less clearly defined goals. You will develop and implement procedures and provide training on new processes, tools, and equipment. This includes defining Preventative and Predictive Maintenance requirements and conducting mechanical evaluations of processes and equipment as needed.
Responsibilities- Complete small to medium-sized projects with medium complexity.
- Develop procedures and training materials for new processes, tools, and equipment.
- Define Preventative and Predictive Maintenance requirements.
- Conduct mechanical evaluations of processes and equipment.
- Provide concise project progress reports.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing process improvement.
- Proficiency in process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and lean six sigma.
- Skills in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and project management.
- Knowledge of automation, design, tooling, mechanical engineering, and PLC troubleshooting.
Skills & Qualifications
- Lean six sigma certification is advantageous.
The position is based in a large manufacturing facility with approximately 500,000 square feet of space, dedicated to producing sheet metal shelving units. The environment can be noisy due to fabrication and manufacturing lines. Office spaces are located on the top floor of the manufacturing area, providing easy access to production lines. The work environment is casual, with a laid-back atmosphere and a flexible work schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
