Application Engineer Opportunity
This isn't just another engineering desk job. It's your chance to step into a role where your designs get built, your ideas solve real customer problems, and your growth is part of the plan. We're looking for a hands-on Application Engineer who's ready to work alongside Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality teams—turning technical specs into manufacturable solutions. If you've got 2–3 years of experience and a solid grip on Solid Works, this is your launchpad.
What You'll Do
- Receive design specs from Sales or customers and assess them against our capabilities—then collaborate on the best path forward
- Create detailed drawings, layouts, and schematics using Solid Works and AutoCAD/Drafts Sight
- Analyze product performance requirements and develop designs that are ready for manufacturing
- Own Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and support corrective action initiatives
- Work side-by-side with Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality during design reviews and solution brainstorming
- Provide engineering support on the shop floor and assist with commissioning activities
- Interpret regulatory codes like UL, NEC, and NFPA to ensure compliance
You'll also dig into existing design files, make modifications, and locate the best application solutions for each unique customer request. When challenges pop up, you'll troubleshoot with the engineering team to find answers that work.
What You Bring
- 2–3 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related role
- Strong proficiency in Solid Works (this is non-negotiable)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or Draft Sight
- A knack for turning customer requirements into manufacturable designs
- Comfort working with ECOs, BOMs, and design modifications
- A collaborative mindset—you're ready to talk to Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality without ego
Why This Role?
This is a great entry-level opportunity with real room to grow. You'll learn the ins and outs of product platforms, get exposure to the full design-to-manufacturing cycle, and build relationships across teams. Plus, you'll be based in Omaha, NE—no relocation needed if you're already local.
Compensation $60,000–$70,000 per year, plus bonus potential. Ready to make your mark? Let's build something together.
