Transportation Design Engineer
Leads delivery of traffic engineering and transportation design projects, combining technical analysis, project management, and client coordination to improve traffic operations and safety across all modes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage traffic projects and components of larger transportation programs from start to finish
- Conduct traffic analysis, modeling, and forecasting (VISSIM, Synchro, SIDRA, etc.)
- Develop traffic studies, reports, and design plans (signals, signing, pavement markings)
- Identify safety issues and recommend mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams; present findings
- Oversee and mentor staff; ensure quality and timely delivery
- Support business development and proposal efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Engineering; ~5+ years of transportation/traffic experience
- PE license (or ability to obtain in Nebraska)
- Experience with traffic studies, signal design, and safety analysis
- Proficiency in modeling/design tools (VISSIM, Synchro, Micro Station, Open Roads)
- Strong communication, writing, and project management skills

This is a Permanent position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
