Mechanical Design Engineer

Omaha, NE - onsite Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and components for our food processing equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and proficiency in Solid Works. Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components and systems for food processing equipment Utilize Solid Works to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings Conduct analysis and testing to ensure designs meet industry standards and performance requirements Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management Oversee the prototyping and testing process, making necessary adjustments based on feedback Develop and maintain documentation related to design specifications and changes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the food processing industry Proficiency in Solid Works or similar CAD software Knowledge of machining, welding, and metal fabrication techniques Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401k PTO For this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
