Position Summary

The Depot Service Technician will test, diagnose, and repair computer printers and other electronic equipment. Coordinate toner/consumable replenishment for managed print and provide technical phone support on a wide variety of printers/copiers/electro-mechanical devices.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide technical phone support to field service technicians and customers
  • Coordinate toner/consumable replenishment
  • Test, diagnose, and repair/refurbish printers/copiers/electro-mechanical devices
  • Complete necessary paperwork for equipment/parts being repaired/shipped
  • Earn manufacture product certification through training as assigned
  • Work in a team environment, and across departments
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Education/Experience Requirements:
    Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, OR minimum one year of experience in the field of computer printer/copier repair, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems/Microsoft Office
  • Ability to Multitask
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong electronic and mechanical ability
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Able to earn manufacture product certification through training as assigned
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and across departments
  • Regular and consistent attendance
Physical / Mental Requirements
  • Sit frequently at a desk
  • Frequent fine hand and finger movements (keyboard, writing, mouse movement)
  • Continual close visual acuity for reading
  • Hearing and Speaking for communication within and outside of company.
  • May be required to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds for set up/movement of office equipment
  • Mental Requirements – must be able to consistently:
    • Learn new tasks,
    • Remember Processes,
    • Maintain focus,
    • Complete tasks independently
    • Make timely decisions in the context of a workflow,
    • Ability to communicate effectively,
    • Able to adhere to process protocol in a timely manner
