Project Engineer / Estimator
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Estimator to support projects from preconstruction through completion. This role bridges estimating, project management, and field operations by helping turn plans and opportunities into successful projects.
Responsibilities- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop cost estimates
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Assist with bid preparation and project handoff
- Track project costs, quantities, schedules, and documentation
- Support submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Coordinate with project managers, field teams, owners, engineers, and vendors
- Identify risks, solve problems, and support successful project execution
- Experience in civil construction, estimating, project engineering, or project management
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related software
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered

Job Type & Location
This is a contract to hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
