Wage: $25 - $27 per hour

Fulltime position: 40 hours per week

FLSA:
Exempt

Working Hours:

Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Occasional Saturdays on an as needed basis

Reports to Survey Manager

Essential Functions:

Ability to maintain the seven core values of Precision Surveying & Consulting.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent certificate.
  • 0-3 years of experience employed in a civil engineering/surveying office.
  • Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D/Carlson
  • Ability to comprehend basic functions of Cad programs.
    • Draft basic lines and arcs accurately
    • Basic knowledge of survey drafting (bearings, distances)
    • Basic computer skills for downloading/uploading TXT files.
  • Ability to draft and calculate staking points for construction projects accurately.
    • Print staking documents for field crews.
    • Maintain and update project information as needed.
  • Ability to draft topographic surveys accurately.
    • Attention to details that will “tell the story” of what is being depicted by the topographic information.
  • Ability to comprehend engineering plans.
  • Take information from plans and accurately plot construction layouts.
  • Plan layout and production standards.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations for engineering and surveying documents.
  • Know how to convert measurement units (inches) into standard survey units (100th of a foot)
  • Create a variety of documents for civil engineering and surveying (plans, maps, details).
  • Work cooperatively with staff and be able to partially manage projects.
  • Communicate with clients in a professional and timely manner.
  • Attend required Company Training programs.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.
