Mechanical Designer
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Designer for a top engineering client. This candidate will support a variety of industrial projects and be responsible for design efforts from concept through final delivery. The ideal candidate will create detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings, and construction packages while collaborating closely with engineers and project managers. This role requires a strong technical background, experience with industry-standard design software, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
The position offers exposure to diverse industrial projects, field work opportunities, and the chance to play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions to clients. The compensation for this role will be $35-$40/ an hour.
Required
Skills & Experience:
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field
- 5+ years of related mechanical design experience
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with any of the following - AutoCAD, 2D/3D CAD, Solid Works, Revit 3D, Inventor, Plant 3D, Blue Beam, Navisworks, and related engineering software
- Ability to develop detailed design, fabrication, plan, elevation, and isometric drawings
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail
- Valid U.S. driver's license with clean driving record
Nice to Have
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field
- 10+ years of related experience
- Experience in Food & Beverage, Agricultural, Mineral Processing, or Power industries
- Strong relationships with customers, contractors, fabricators, and vendors
