The Role at a Glance

This is a high‑visibility, high‑ownership role with formal people leadership responsibility (one actuarial direct report). You will serve as the pricing lead and subject matter expert for our private‑plan Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) portfolio and a suite of unpaid leave offerings. In this role you will drive product pricing, lead regulatory rate development and partner closely with Product, Distribution, Underwriting and senior Pricing leadership.

This is an ideal opportunity for an ASA or FSA seeking increased visibility, broader influence, and a first step into formal management within a growing and rapidly evolving product line.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leads the design and implementation of a robust reporting and analytics framework to measure pricing execution and performance against targets.
  • Oversee development of forecasting capabilities to predict quote outcomes for new and inforce customers.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of reporting by championing process reliability and continuous improvement.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of internal quoting systems, data flows, and technical requirements to support reporting and analytics.
  • Maintains various tracking tools to and develops them further to support achieving our profitability and growth goals.
  • Consumes and interprets technical information to enable data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Provides thought leadership on pricing analytics and reporting strategy, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
  • Coaches and develop team members, fostering technical and business expertise.
  • Builds strong engagement with internal stakeholders, aligning with organizational values and leadership attributes.
What We’re Looking For
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative major (Required)
  • 5 – 7+ Years actuarial experience
  • Upon Hire Certifications/Licensures: (FSA or ASA)
  • Group Benefits Pricing Experience (Preferred)
  • Proficiency with SQL and Dataiku
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
  • Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time‑sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
