Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Investment Operation Specialist supports Prodigy’s portfolio management and client service functions by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of portfolio accounting, client transactions, compliance testing, and operational processes. This role is responsible for maintaining records, coordinating client and investment manager communications, completing/facilitating client paperwork and requests, and upholding the firm’s regulatory and operational standards. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills, along with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving, to contribute to the firm's commitment to providing excellent service and ethical practices.
Essential Functions

- Updates and maintains the portfolio accounting system.
- Completes monthly investment performance and market value updates within portfolio management system and reconciles between the applicable internal systems and custodians.
- Performs reconciliation of investment transactions, valuations and returns with investment managers, custodian banks, and portfolio management systems. Researches and resolves all discrepancies.
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of performance data by reviewing and reconciling data to custodian. Resolves all discrepancies.
- Processes client transactions, including asset transfers, journals, wires, ACHs, and capital calls in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinates with the operations team to ensure timely execution of client requests.
- Prepares, edits, and assembles client presentations, reports and other documents.
- Organizes the receipt, classification, and redirection of data and investment information received from external sources such as custodians, managers and third-party administrators
- Maintains and updates CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Interacts with prospective and existing customers to open new accounts and modify existing accounts and ensures an exceptional customer care experience.
- Conducts monthly and quarterly compliance testwork.
- Reviews, researches, and processes class action cases.
- Handles incoming calls, emails, and other communications in a professional manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and various data management resources.
