Responsibilities
  • Produce high quality credit presentation / annual reviews for use by various Approval Authorities (Internal and External).
  • Use customer-provided information to produce consistent financial spreads.
  • Analyze the produced financial spreads with emphasis on all financial activities of the borrower.
  • Identify material changes and/or trends in the balance sheet and income statement.
  • Complete deal specific and global cash flow analysis.
  • Identify and analyze the adequacy of the collateral securing the loan(s).
  • Create a well-written credit presentation / annual review that is reader friendly and reflects Equity Bank’s position regarding the credit facility(ies) under discussion.
  • Manage relationships with Loan Officers.
  • Utilize written and oral communication skills to obtain all needed information for requests/annual reviews in a timely manner.
  • In conjunction with Loan Officer, contact customers, CPAs, and advisors when needed.
  • Confirm all credit applications/annual reviews with officers to present the best, most accurate product for informed decision-making by Approval Authorities.
  • Develop familiarity with general banking/credit knowledge including loan policy, underwriting guidelines, and credit procedures.
  • Understand commercial loan types and their uses in loan structuring, commercial loan documentation (security documents), and real estate appraisals/evaluations (internal and 3rd party).
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships and communicate information to and from customers, CPAs, and advisors.
  • Present and explain information to maintain a positive professional image for Equity Bank.
  • Prepare and manage reports and related responsibilities; oversee related projects as assigned (e.g., Financial Covenant Monitoring / Approval, Borrowing Base Certificate Monitoring / Approval, and periodic reporting).
  • Follow applicable laws and regulations for responsibilities including Equity Bank policies, Bank Secrecy Act, Information security, and SAR requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail to identify risk factors and ensure quality in credit evaluations.
  • Ability to think critically and make informed decisions based on thorough credit data analysis.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey credit analysis findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, bending, and squatting on a regular basis. May require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or reach with hands and arms. Requires the ability to carry, lift, move or push up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Must be able to talk and listen to others.

Work Environment

This position regularly works in an office setting. Most duties involve working with computers and electronic media.
