Job Description
Job Summary:
Omaha Steaks is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with leaders across the organization, from Sales to Executives, shaping the company’s financial direction. This role is responsible for analyzing sales performance, supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process, and providing financial analysis that helps the business understand trends, risks, and opportunities.
* This position is based out of Omaha, NE and will require the ability to work onsite.
Responsibilities- Drive Sales Insights:
Partner with Sales and Marketing leaders to analyze sales performance, identify trends, and develop multi-year projections that guide strategic growth decisions. - Lead Financial Planning:
Collaborate with leadership to build and manage annual budgets and monthly forecasts for key business functions. Analyze variances, highlight risks and opportunities, and provide insights that improve operational and financial performance. - Own Planning Systems:
Manage and optimize the FP&A planning platform (Planful), ensuring accurate data, reliable reporting, and effective use of forecasting tools across the organization. - Deliver Strategic Analysis:
Perform ad hoc financial analysis for leadership and cross-functional teams, translating complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations that support business decisions.
- 4- year college degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting. Experience in budgeting, financial reporting and financial analysis
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Solid knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions
- Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpretive communication skills
