Overview
The Director of Finance oversees all financial operations of the casino, ensuring accuracy, compliance, profitability, and strategic financial planning. This role partners closely with executive leadership, gaming operations, and regulatory bodies to maintain strong financial controls and support long‑term business growth.
- Lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for casino operations
- Oversee daily accounting functions including revenue audit, cage/cash operations, AP/AR, and payroll
- Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, internal controls, and state/federal financial requirements
- Analyze gaming and non‑gaming revenue performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure audit readiness
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for executive leadership and regulatory agencies
- Partner with department heads to manage labor, expenses, and capital projects
- Oversee financial audits, tax filings, and regulatory submissions
- Implement financial systems, process improvements, and operational efficiencies
- Provide strategic recommendations to support profitability, cost control, and business expansion
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 7–10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience; casino or gaming industry experience required
- Strong knowledge of gaming regulations, internal controls, and audit standards
- Proficiency with casino management systems, financial software, and ERP platforms
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and work cross‑functionally
- Experience with Title 31 compliance and AML procedures
- Strong understanding of slot, table games, and cage operations financial metrics
- Background in capital planning and large‑scale project financial oversight
- Ability to present financial insights to executive leadership and regulatory agencies
