Summary DescriptionConsumer Loan Administrator is responsible for all aspects of pre-closing including: all necessary due diligence, doc prep. Requires good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to clients and employees, and solve problems in a timely manner.
Responsibilities- Loan document preparation for all types of loans, ensuring procedures & policies are carried out effectively and within deadlines.
- Work in coordination with officers, attorneys and other personnel to ensure transactions comply with bank’s loan policy.
- Obtain, order, and analyze documentation and verify moderate to complex loan transactions.
- Review due diligence documents including purchase contracts, entity documents, lease agreements, UCC searches, title and insurance policies.
- Assist in reviewing, preparing, and maintaining credit files and follow up on outstanding items.
- Process advances and disbursements and prepare payoff letters.
- Review closing documentation to ensure terms are in conformance with bank policies.
- Safeguard original notes and collateral.
- Collaborate with post-closing loan admin to ensure onboarding of loans is completed.
- Maintain and manage the loan exception list to update collateral, taxes, insurance, and file items.
- Process adverse action and withdrawn files, send declination letters, complete adverse action forms.
- Add HMDA information as needed.
- Maintain tickler system with regular monitoring.
- Process loan payments and payoffs.
- Assist with releasing collateral and closing loans upon payoff.
- Communicate with loan officers about discrepancies, customer issues, ticklers.
- Participate in audits and work with external and internal parties to ensure receipt of vital documents and final disposition.
- Provide prompt and effective service to internal and external customers.
- Demonstrate commitment, dependability, and respect for teammates.
- Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to schedule.
- Perform physical requirements as described.
- Assume special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Familiar with lending concepts, practices, and procedures including loan accounting, file maintenance, compliance, business entity structure, law, and underwriting.
- Minimum 2 years experience preparing loan documents for consumer credits or TRID.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
- Professional communication with external and internal customers.
- Physical demands: bending, sitting, lifting; primarily sedentary; occasionally lifting less than 15 lbs; constant repetitive motions of wrists/hands; vision 20” or less with computer use; hearing and speech communication; reach and extend arms; assess accuracy, neatness, thoroughness.
