Job Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Consulting Tax Associate - Enrolled Agent to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. This exciting role is perfect for a seasoned tax professional with a deep understanding of federal and state tax laws, income tax, corporate tax returns, and S Corps. As a part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex tax issues, provide strategic tax planning advice, and ensure compliance with various tax laws and regulations.
This is a contract position requiring 5+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive tax reviews and prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and S Corps.
- Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate tax advice.
- Identify potential tax credits and liabilities and ensure accurate and complete returns are filed in a timely manner.
- Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries and represent clients in tax audits and disputes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline tax preparation processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
- Assist in financial planning and analysis as required.
- Must be an Enrolled Agent certified by the Internal Revenue Service.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and consulting, including experience with federal and state tax, income tax, corporate tax returns, and S Corps.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in tax software and technology tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Superior client service skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. Advanced degree or certification (CPA, MST, JD, or LLM) is a plus.
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
