The Loan Processor II supports the bank’s lending functions by coordinating documentation, clearing conditions, monitoring loan file progress, and ensuring regulatory and policy requirements are met prior to closing.

Position Summary

The Loan Processor II is responsible for processing, preparing, and reviewing commercial, real estate, and consumer loan documentation with a high degree of accuracy and compliance. Through attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to excellence, this role helps contribute to a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and adaptability that drives Core Bank forward.

Responsibilities
  • Order and review title commitments, title searches, and related documentation; identify and clear title exceptions prior to closing.
  • Order flood determinations and ensure compliance with flood insurance regulations, including tracking required coverage.
  • Review entity documentation (operating agreements, bylaws, resolutions, etc.) to verify authorized signers and execution requirements.
  • Prepare and process loan documentation for commercial, real estate, and consumer loans using Laser Pro or other documentation platforms, including preparation and delivery of TRID disclosures when applicable.
  • Disburse loan proceeds accurately and timely in accordance with approved terms and closing instructions.
  • Process and pay invoices associated with loan closings.
  • Submit collateral documents for recording with county and state agencies; track receipt of recorded documents.
  • Maintain complete and accurate loan files using the bank’s Loan Operations System and Documentation System.
  • Review loan files for completeness and follow up on outstanding documentation prior to closing.
  • Assist lenders with tracking, clearing, and resolving loan file exceptions.
  • Prepare and distribute adverse action notices for consumer and commercial loans in compliance with ECOA and other regulations.
  • Utilize the bank’s core banking and loan operations systems to research loan and deposit information.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to internal staff, customers, and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and adhere to all bank policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in loan documentation or loan operations.
  • Experience with Laser Pro preferred.
  • Experience with Abrigo preferred but not required.
  • Experience with title work, flood determinations, and escrow closings preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of financial institution products, services, and applicable laws and regulations (TRID, ECOA, HMDA, Flood).
Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
  • Alignment with Core Bank’s Purpose, Vision, and Values.
  • Proficiency with software applications including Microsoft Office, loan operations system, and core banking system.
  • Strong working knowledge of banking regulations, lending policy, and documentation requirements.
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
