Financial Services Manager (Lincoln or Omaha, NE)
The Financial Services Manager leads the Information Technology Services (ITS) financial team in providing comprehensive business support, financial analysis, and accounting services. This role ensures financial transactions are timely, accurate, and compliant with institutional, state, and federal regulations. It provides financial oversight for ITS operational accounts, technology service operations, and related financial activities. Responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial oversight for ITS cost objects and accounts, while supervising staff and developing consistent financial processes that support effective ITS operations.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field
- 5 years progressively responsible experience in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, or business operations management
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including prior supervisory responsibility or significant experience leading projects and coordinating the work of others
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered
- Experience working in higher education, government accounting, or large institutional environments
- Experience with enterprise financial systems or business‑to‑business software and procurement platforms (e.g., SAP and SAP Ariba)
- Knowledge of university financial structures, such as state‑aided, revolving, auxiliary, grant, or foundation funds
- Prior supervisory experience, including work direction, performance feedback, and staff development
- Agile professional with strong interpersonal communication skills, flexibility and responsiveness; exhibits high ethical standards; proficient in managing time and competing priorities
- Committed to the ideals of a major public research university
- No pre‑placement driving record review required
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Subject to DOT approved pre‑employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances
- Criminal history background check required
