We are seeking a dynamic Permanent Tax Associate to join our Accounting + Finance team. This role will provide you with the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business operations by managing and optimizing our tax-related activities. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring we meet our legal and business obligations. This is a great opportunity to deepen your knowledge of corporate tax, tax accounting, S Corp, and federal & state tax, while contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Tax Associate, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
2. Assisting with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and related financial statement disclosures.
3. Conducting tax research and planning to optimize tax positions and ensure compliance with complex tax laws.
4. Providing support during tax audits and responding to tax notices.
5. Assisting in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities.
6. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and ensuring the company's tax policies and procedures are in compliance.
7. Collaborating with other accounting and finance team members to streamline processes and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of tax-related activities.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Tax Associate position should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a tax role, preferably in a corporate setting.
3. Solid understanding and practical knowledge of corporate tax, tax accounting, S Corp, and federal & state tax.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax laws and regulations.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
6. High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
7. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
