Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by proactively engaging, identifying needs, and providing tailored financial solutions that align with customers’ best interests.
- Collaborate within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and meet business objectives.
- Lead needs‑based assessments for existing customers and prospects to identify immediate and future opportunities.
- Recommend financial solutions—including everyday banking, retail investments, lending, home financing, small‑business solutions—and preferred banking channels.
- Offer guidance on digital and self‑serve options to simplify banking.
- Support customer transaction needs based on traffic patterns.
- Generate appointments and build new relationships within the community.
- Resolve questions and issues through audits and quality checks, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Apply the risk management framework to protect the bank’s assets and maintain portfolio quality, making credit recommendations for personal lending transactions in line with policy.
- Act as a key member of the branch and market team, probing for customer needs and integrating marketing promotions.
- Organize work to ensure accuracy and completeness, and initiate creative approaches that personalize the customer experience.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the overall customer experience.
- Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard customers’ assets, privacy, and best interests.
- Stay current on market, legal, regulatory, and ethical developments relevant to banking services.
- Identify and report suspicious activities related to money laundering.
- Complete complex tasks within defined rules and handle escalations.
- Analyze issues, determine next steps, and apply measured risk‑taking in line with the bank’s risk culture.
- Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience with a post‑secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- For Canadian candidates: completed registration to sell investment products, appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
- For U.S. candidates: registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System, and compliance with RegulationZ, RegulationG, and the S.A.F.E. Act.
- Working knowledge of personal and small‑business customer needs; retail investments and lending products.
- Proficient use of digital tools, tablets, smartphones, and online applications.
- Experience in a consultative customer‑service or sales role with a drive to deliver a personal experience.
- Passionate commitment to helping customers and a focus on results.
- Ability to thrive in a consultative sales and team‑based environment.
- Self‑starter with courage and confidence to approach customers.

Salary range: $41,714.00 – $65,000.00 (Salaried). Compensation may include commissions and performance‑based incentives.
