Who We Want
The role of the Trading Specialist is to assist in the daily workflow of strategy level rebalancing, processing daily strategy buy‑in requests, tax loss harvesting requests, liquidating accounts for cash needs, and all other advisor‑directed trade requests. The Trading Specialist will exhibit great attention to detail, work well under pressure and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. This position requires prior market knowledge and a good understanding of how securities trade.
WhatTo Expect
- Facilitate execution of trades based on models managed by Carson Group as well as single trades from business partners of Carson Wealth Management Group.
- Review drift reports and exception reports of advisory accounts to ensure quality and timely trading is performed.
- Ensure that implemented internal controls are adhered to and provide proactive recommendations for changes in the internal control infrastructure where required.
- Follow the guidelines provided to achieve goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
- Assist in developing processes and procedures that enhance accuracy and streamline processes.
- Assist in setting and continually meeting project expectations with team members and management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Block trading experience in conjunction with management of model portfolios.
- Experience with Schwab and Fidelity platforms.
- Experience using Orion technology is a plus.
- Experienced users of Microsoft Excel.
- A natural acumen for numbers.

- Written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a similar field of study is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of trading experience preferred.

CompensationThe total rewards expected for this role include:
- Starting annual base salary between $62,400 – $81,200.
- Variable compensation potential (bonus and/or commissions).
