Role at a Glance

As Specialist, Budget Analysis, you will develop and execute complex projects/initiatives for your assigned area(s) including budgeting, forecasting, expense management, special initiatives support, budget guidance, and communication of financial data to key stakeholders. You will also serve as the liaison between assigned business area(s) and Finance and ensure transparency and adherence to guidelines.

What you’ll be doing
  • Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assess impact, and collaborate with senior management to incorporate new trends into solutions.
  • Direct and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and departmental/enterprise initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department, or business unit.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise to team members and internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects.
  • Provide direction on complex assignments, projects, and initiatives to build and enhance capability.
  • Lead budget management for assigned area(s), including forecasting, tracking, reporting, and analytics related to business activity/initiatives.
  • Advise senior leaders on development of budgets and financial plans in accordance with business objectives and corporate guidelines.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand financial deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with financial internal stakeholders to ensure budget is accurately assigned.
  • Analyze and monitor expenses monthly to identify trends and ensure accurate allocation.
  • Develop detailed financial analysis, reports, and reviews so business owners can understand financial results and implications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop monthly forecast updates and advise leadership on opportunities to leverage spend.
  • Develop and communicate monthly expense accruals, budget variance explanations, and headcount forecasts to financial stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance to management on stewardship of expenditures aligned with the organization’s prioritization.
  • Develop complex analytics and serve as a subject‑matter expert to senior management to optimize financial business requirements.
  • Develop metrics to monitor cost‑benefit analyses and measure performance of projects/initiatives.
  • Initiate, plan, and develop process improvements for budget management.
What we’re looking for Must‑haves
  • 3–5+ years of accounting/finance experience, including budget analysis directly related to the responsibilities of this role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of a degree).
  • Up to 10% travel.
Nice‑to‑haves
  • Experience leveraging AI‑enabled tools to create dashboards, analyze trends, and generate insights.
