Summary of the Job

The Senior Analyst, Finance will oversee business planning and financial reporting for a bank business unit. The role periodically changes units, providing finance oversight and analysis to divisional business unit managers. Responsibilities include developing annual budgets, financial forecasts, monthly analysis and reporting, variance analysis, year‑end reporting, month‑end close procedures, audit support, and ad‑hoc analysis requests.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain competency in the bank’s financial systems to facilitate segment and business‑unit specific reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare and improve financial reporting to support ongoing management and evaluation of business segments; present results to management and serve as a point of contact for inquiries.
  • Partner with business‑unit leaders and the finance team to prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts.
  • Work with business‑unit managers on analysis of business and business products.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for increased efficiency and accuracy.
  • Become a subject‑matter expert for business‑unit needs through review of performance and forecast variance analysis.
  • Collaborate and foster positive working relationships with cross‑functional teams.
  • Communicate work product and timelines to meet commitments.
  • Adjust analysis, reporting, and forecasting to accommodate changing business dynamics and products.
  • Support business‑unit goals and the overall enterprise plans, coordinating and completing analysis for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Generate reports, interpret, analyze, and communicate monthly business‑unit performance to senior management.
  • Support key business‑line initiatives and develop and maintain metrics and benchmarking for profitability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, and/or Forecasting.
  • Experience using data warehouses for large‑dataset extraction and manipulation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to speak with senior management.
  • Ability to collaborate with various teams as a self‑directed contributor.
  • Attention to detail with a view of the bigger picture.
  • Ability to work independently and multi‑task while meeting deadlines.
  • Professional behavior and positive relationship building.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
Compliance
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank’s BSA/AML Program.
  • Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization; no future sponsorship required.
Compensation

Base pay range: $81,662.00 – $ (final compensation may vary based on experience, education, and skill level).
