SummaryThe Vice President of Accounting and FP&A provides strategic leadership for accounting and financial planning & analysis functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust forecasting, and forward‑looking financial strategy that supports organizational goals. This role partners with executive leadership to inform decision‑making, manages cross‑functional teams, and drives continuous improvement in financial operations.
Key Responsibilities Accounting Leadership- Lead the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial close, general ledger maintenance, and month‑end reporting.
- Establish and enforce strong internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, and financial systems integration.
- Lead the development, coordination, and execution of annual operating budgets, long‑range financial plans, and rolling forecasts.
- Drive advanced financial modeling, scenario analysis, and performance tracking to provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Partner with department heads to assess financial trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare executive‑level presentations and reporting to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Mentor, develop, and manage accounting and finance team members to build high‑performance capability.
- Support audit processes (internal/external) and tax compliance efforts.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior executives on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Enhance financial systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to improve data reliability and decision support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and/or FP&A experience, with at least 3–5 years in leadership roles.
- Experience in healthcare finance or multi‑location operations is a plus.
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems, ERP software, and reporting tools.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
