A growing organization is seeking a strategic finance leader to oversee its finance and accounting operations. This newly created position offers the opportunity to step into a high‑impact leadership role during a period of community growth and development. The role will oversee budgeting, fund allocation, financial reporting, compliance, capital planning, internal controls, and long‑term financial strategy. - Support capital budgeting, improvement planning, and development‑related financial analysis
- Prepare and present financial reports and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and audit activity
- Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, procedures, and reporting standards
- Supervise, support, and provide direction to a small accounting and finance team
- Identify department gaps, improve processes, and help modernize financial systems and controls
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required
- 2+ years of progressive financial management experience
- Municipal, government, nonprofit, public‑sector experience preferred
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Strong budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal control experience
- Capital budgeting, fund accounting, debt management, or investment experience preferred
- CPA preferred, or ability to obtain within 24–36 months of hire
- Strong Excel, accounting software, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to present financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
