A growing organization is seeking a strategic finance leader to oversee its finance and accounting operations. The role will oversee budgeting, fund allocation, financial reporting, compliance, capital planning, internal controls, and long‑term financial strategy. • Oversee daily financial operations, accounting functions, and finance department performance
• Lead the annual budgeting process, including budget‑to‑actual reporting and forecasting
• Manage fund allocation, financial reporting, and long‑term financial planning
• Support capital budgeting, improvement planning, and development‑related financial analysis
• Prepare and present financial reports and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and audit activity
• Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, procedures, and reporting standards
• Supervise, support, and provide direction to a small accounting and finance team
• Identify department gaps, improve processes, and help modernize financial systems and controls

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required
• 2+ years of progressive financial management experience
• Municipal, government, nonprofit, public‑sector experience preferred
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Strong budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal control experience
• Capital budgeting, fund accounting, debt management, or investment experience preferred
• CPA preferred, or ability to obtain within 24–36 months of hire
• Strong Excel, accounting software, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to present financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
