As the Finance Director and Actuary, you serve as a key strategic business partner for our Life Insurance Solutions segment helping lead the team through financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and core performance analysis. The Life Insurance Solutions segment includes various individual life products including Indexed Universal Life, Term, and Final Expense products. Your exceptional communication skills will play a vital role in conveying results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This role is hybrid with onsite expectations of more than 50% of the time in Omaha, NE, beginning in 2027. Relocation assistance is available if interested.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:- Estimated Salary: $175,000 - $220,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

- Lead an integrated team of Finance and Actuarial analysts to partner with segment leadership and key stakeholders to perform financial analysis, reporting, and profitability analysis across GAAP, statutory, and value-added measures while ensuring compliance with regulatory and Enterprise standards.
- Facilitate and coordinate the segment's financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with Enterprise objectives and performance expectations.
- Assess segment financial performance across the full income statement and balance sheet, identifying key drivers, risks, and opportunities, and communicating actionable recommendations to improve future results for both growth and returns.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging market developments to assess potential impacts on segment performance.
- Continuously improve reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes through the effective use of Enterprise-approved data, automation, and AI tools.
- An FSA fellowship with relevant actuarial experience for Indexed Universal Life and principles-based reserving.
- The ability to blend actuarial skills with creative risk and return solutions.
- Strong knowledge of insurance and modeling, including deep understanding of sources of profit and finance and actuarial concepts underlying segment performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex financial data into easy-to-understand storylines and recommendations for higher management.

- Able to work at our office located in Omaha, NE in a hybrid environment.
