Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Reporting

Assists executive management in planning, controlling, and directing the Bank's accounting and financial reporting systems. Participates in the analysis and preparation of regular reports depicting the financial status of the Bank and holding company. Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting systems that safeguard Bank assets and maintain the integrity of the financial database.

• Leads daily accounting operations, including general ledger processing and maintenance, accounts payable, wire origination, account reconciliations, and prepaid/accrual entries
• Coordinates daily cash position reporting, balances key general ledger accounts (FRB, ATM clearing, internal check accounts), and administers repurchase agreements
• Coordinates and completes the month-end and quarter-end close process, including tax entries, investment mark-to-market adjustments, and Risk-Based Capital calculations
• Prepares and files regulatory reports, including the Call Report, FR 2644, FR Y-9SP (with outside accountants), and FR Y-6
• Completes accounting functions for the holding company, including general ledger, capital accounting, regulatory capital calculations, shareholder records, and stock transactions
• Coordinates federal and state tax filings and works with external accountants on quarterly estimates and annual returns
• Coordinates annual insurance renewals, maintains fixed asset schedules, and oversees lease tracking
• Administers officer expense reporting, 1099 reporting and corrections, and year-end processing
• Maintains a strong internal control environment and supports external audits and regulatory examinations (FDIC, state banking department)
• Serves as backup for CFO during absences

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in community banking or financial services
• Working knowledge of GAAP, FFIEC Call Report preparation, and bank accounting
• Experience with federal and state payroll tax filings and bank regulatory reporting

• CPA designation
• Proficiency with Fiserv Premier or a comparable core banking system
• Experience supporting a bank holding company and coordinating with external tax accountants and auditors
