Senior Financial Analyst / Senior Associate, Corporate Development Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst / Senior Associate, Corporate Development
Location: Omaha, NE. Onsite 3 to 4 days a week.
Compensation: Competitive compensation based on experience
Our client, a privately held infrastructure company, has created a new role and is bringing its capital modeling back in-house from its investment bankers.
This is the person who builds the models, ties them to the company's own numbers, and owns them from here.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?- You want deal work without deal-shop hours.
- You have built multi-tab models from scratch and can defend every assumption when a lender pushes back.
- You have sized debt, or sat close enough to it to know how a coverage ratio constrains a deal.
- You can open someone else's model and find what is wrong with it.
- You are ready to be a senior and there is no seat above you where you are now.
- 25-year project-level cash flow models. Individual projects run $100M+ in capital.
- One consolidated model rolling up 20+ legal entities, used with lenders, equity investors, and the board.
- The financing layer: debt sizing, tax equity, tax credit sales, and construction financing.
- IRR and cost of capital analysis that prices long-term contracts and decides build versus buy.
- Rebuilding the inherited model so inputs and outputs tie to the company's actual financials.
- Same-day return analysis for the President when project assumptions move.
- Pressure-testing models built by bankers, lenders, and counter parties.
- Location:
Omaha, NE. Onsite 3 to 4 days a week. Candidates relocating to Omaha will be considered.
- 4 to 6 years in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or corporate FP&A
- Advanced modeling. Builds from scratch and audits other people's work
- Debt financing exposure: sizing, structuring, or covenant and compliance work
- M&A modeling: diligence support, valuation, transaction modeling
- Expert Excel across large, interlinked model structures
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Energy, infrastructure, or development industry background
- Project finance exposure
- Four capital work streams live now: an equity raise, a debt raise, construction financing, and tax equity.
- Direct access to the President, who is the owner. No layers, and you own the model.
- Roughly 40 hours a week, up to 60 during an active raise. Not 80 every week.
- Assets are contracted long term to large corporate and utility buyers.
- Small company, real scale. Get in before the function is built.
- Leadership is strategic and big picture. They want someone who will ask "did you consider this," not someone who defers.
