Overview
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the PositionServes as project manager or action officer for specific projects, including but not limited to origination of and replies to correspondence, document preparation, processing finalization, together with required coordination with other branches of the Division or other District elements.
Responsibilities- Obtains leases and other real property interests required within the military and civil boundaries of the Omaha District.
- Prepares documentation and coordinates with General Services Administration (GSA) for lease of Government controlled space.
- Examines and analyzes public records, appraisal reports, right of way maps and title evidence to identify matters affecting negotiations.
- Informs property owners displaced by Federal or Federally assisted projects or programs of their rights and benefits under Public Law 91-646.
- Issues, manages and terminates out-grants (leases, easements, licenses, permits, consents, oil and gas offers, etc.) for all military and civil works projects.
- Conducts compliance inspections of out-granted property to determine whether terms of the document are being met.
- Performs disposal of excess military and civil property, researching records, resolving problems, and preparing a complete, coordinated disposal package for submittal to GSA and monitoring progress of the disposal.
- Prepares recommendations to dispose of civil works real property and submits recommendation to higher headquarters for issuance of a disposal directive.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent may be required to perform/travel Temporary Duty (TDY) up to 25%.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a State-issued Driver’s License.
