Municipal Police Officer Position
The town of RICHWILLER is looking to hire a second municipal police officer. The municipal police officer to be recruited will be under the authority of the head of the municipal police service, the director general of services, and the mayor. The municipal police officer carries out duties of prevention necessary for maintaining public order, safety, security, and cleanliness. They also maintain a close relationship with the community.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Surveillance and prevention in matters of maintaining public order, tranquility, safety, and cleanliness.
- Investigation and recording of offenses.
- Writing and transmission of professional documents.
- Reception and relationship with the public.
- Operational and organizational presence of the municipal police service.
- Animation and team leadership.
EXPECTED TECHNICAL
SKILLS:
- Knowledge of the police powers of the mayor and the attributions of the administrations as well as the powers and attributions of the security and justice services.
- Knowledge of the actors and stakeholders in security and prevention.
- Application of techniques for neutralizing dangerous weapons and animals.
- Application of communication techniques, conflict management, mediation, as well as techniques of apprehension, investigation, and sampling.
- Understanding of the functioning of public administrations and establishments, instances, processes, and decision-making circuits.
- Application of communication techniques and tools.
- Knowledge and application of conflict resolution and mediation techniques.
- Application and control of the police powers of the mayor in their area of intervention.
- Preventive information to the public about the regulations in force.
- Collection of information, transmission to the hierarchy, and follow-up of results.
- Rapid analysis of a situation or unforeseen events.
- Written or oral reporting to the superior authority of events that occurred during the service and the measures taken.
- Establishment and writing of activity reports, mission reports of islandization and prevention.
- Development of information and dialogue with the population.
- Application of instructions aimed at maintaining the activity and safety of the premises, service agents, and the public welcomed.
- Organization of technical and human resources to ensure the continuity of service.
